Raymond Gough ► Owner and President

Raymond Gough was instrumental in the founding of Main Line Protection Services, Inc. with former owner and President Robert Cubbin in 1993. The company was founded to provide higher quality security services to a specialized client base in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. As a police officer with the Lower Merion Township Police Department’s Investigations, Patrol, Special Investigations, Special Weapons, Communications, Training and Background Investigations units, Raymond recognized a need in the community for enhanced private security services to supplement law enforcement efforts. Raymond continued to work with Main Line Protection Services as second in charge until retirement from the Lower Merion Police Department in 2007. Raymond and Joseph Scavitto, Co-Owner and corporate Vice President, partnered and purchased all of the business assets from Main Line Protection Services, Inc. in 2007 and founded Main Line Protection Services, LLC.  In 2007, Raymond Gough was approved by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office and was licensed as a Private Detective.

The original mission of the company to provide a first-class professional security service with a wide range of service capabilities to clients has proven to be a successful and desired model. Since inception Raymond has strategically grown the company. Main Line Protection’s diversified client base includes a wide range of clientele, from individuals and small business enterprises to large corporations; all seeking security and risk mitigation services unique and specialized for their particular needs. 

Joseph Scavitto ►Owner and Vice President

Joseph Scavitto started his career with a major Philadelphia retail store as a plain clothes security detective.  Joseph worked his way through the organization becoming a fraud investigator.  Eventually Joseph accepted a position with the company as a Security Manager supervising a staff of twenty-one plain clothes security detectives.  In 1987, Joseph left the Private Sector and entered public service accepting a position with the Lower Merion Township Police Department in Pennsylvania.  As a Police Officer, Joseph was assigned to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Detective Bureau as a Narcotics Investigator.  In 2000 Joseph was assign to the Philadelphia Field Division of the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for a two year period.  During this term, electronic surveillance, consensual recording and video surveillance were used extensively.  Subsequently, Joseph’s assignment with the DEA ended and Joseph worked as a Detective with the Lower Merion Police Department.  During his tenure as a Detective, Joseph investigated such crimes as theft, fraud, identity theft, sexual assault and missing person’s.  Joseph worked with child advocacy groups and investigated extensively sex crimes involving juveniles.        

In 2007, Joseph Scavitto was approved by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office and was licensed as a Private Detective.  Joseph partnered with Raymond Gough to own and operate Main Line Protection Services, LLC. Joseph made an immediate impact in company expansion. The company, which was predominately a guard service, established a presence in the commercial and residential alarm industry.  In recognizing the companies vast resources, Main Line Protection Services, LLC established the Private Investigations Division of the Company.   

Charles Loughery ►Security Account Manager

Charles Loughery joined Main Line Protection Services in June of 2000…..Charles oversees all division managers and is responsible for the overall operations of the full spectrum of services provided: security services for a wide range of clients, including patrol services, executive protection, security services for motion picture companies, as well as consulting and investigative services, surveillance system and electronic alarm installation and monitoring. Prior to his employment at Mainline Protection Service, he retired after 30 years of service with the Philadelphia Police Department as a Police Supervisor. He was assigned to Southwest Detective Division for over ten (10) years and was involved in numerous high profile and notorious investigations in the Philadelphia area. His liaison with law enforcement agencies, both locally and federally and his investigative experience, round off the law enforcement professionalism that sets Mainline Protection Services apart from other security companies in the area.
